Who We Are
Last Minute Campsite is operated by DeepAnchor Studio, LLC. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" mean DeepAnchor Studio, LLC, and "you" means the person using the service.
These Terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to create an account or purchase a paid plan. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or older.
The Free Beta
Last Minute Campsite is in a free public beta. During the beta, everything is free, including text alerts, no plan can be bought, and nothing is charged. Each account can have a limited number of Campground Searches at a time; you will see the limit if you reach it. Features, limits, and how the service works may change while we learn, and the service is provided as is, as described under Disclaimers.
The beta is limited and will end. We have not set an end date. We will email you at least 14 days before any paid plan starts. When paid plans begin, any Campground Search you already have keeps running until its dates pass; starting a new one will then need a plan.
The plan, billing, renewal, and refund sections below describe paid plans that are not on sale during the beta. No billing settings exist yet, and those sections do not apply to you unless you buy a plan after the beta.
What Last Minute Campsite Does
We monitor campground availability and tell you when a site opens.
Depending on the reservation system and your plan, that can include:
- Alerts when a reservation is canceled and a site becomes available again
- Information about scheduled releases, where the reservation system publishes them
- Information about cart or hold activity, where the reservation system exposes it
- Campground Searches on a single campground, a wider area, or a collection, depending on your plan
- Links that take you to the reservation provider to finish your booking
What We Do Not Do
We do not book campsites for you. We do not reserve, hold, or place any campsite in a cart on your behalf, and we do not complete checkout for you.
We never ask for or store your password for Recreation.gov or any state reservation system.
We do not guarantee that a site we alerted you about will still be available when you get there, and we do not guarantee that you will get a reservation. You complete every reservation yourself, directly with the reservation provider.
Accounts
You need an account to set up Campground Searches and receive alerts. When you create one, give us accurate information and keep it current.
We use passwordless sign-in. Depending on what is available, you can sign in with a link we email you or with a supported third-party sign-in such as Google. There is no Last Minute Campsite password to create or remember.
You are responsible for keeping access to the email address and any third-party account you use to sign in. Do not use someone else's account without their permission. If you think someone else has gained access to your account, tell us at hello@lastminutecampsite.com.
Sign-in depends in part on your email provider or third-party sign-in provider. If one of those is unavailable, sign-in may be unavailable too.
Campground Searches and Alerts
A Campground Search tells us what you are looking for. When we see availability that matches, we send you an alert.
An alert is a snapshot of what we observed at that moment. Campground availability can change immediately, and another camper may reserve the site before you finish checkout. That is normal, and it is the reason we send alerts as fast as we can.
Alerts can be delayed, missed, duplicated, or affected by things outside our control, including changes or outages at a reservation provider, network problems, carrier or email delivery problems, and your own device or notification settings. We work to keep monitoring accurate and fast, but we cannot promise that we will catch every cancellation, every scheduled release, or every expired cart hold.
Coverage can change. Reservation providers may change their systems, change or delay the information they publish, limit access, or stop exposing certain information entirely. Some features work only where the reservation system gives us what they need. Cart Watch and Release Radar are not available everywhere. Recreation.gov does not expose the cart-hold information that some state reservation systems do, so cart countdowns are not available on federal campgrounds.
Third-Party Reservation Services
Recreation.gov, state park reservation systems, and other booking providers are independent third parties. We are not affiliated with them, and we do not act on their behalf or yours in a reservation.
We do not control their inventory, their checkout, their prices or fees, their reservation and cancellation policies, or whether they honor or complete a booking. Your reservation is a transaction between you and that provider, and we are not responsible for it.
When you book through a provider, their terms, privacy policy, payment rules, cancellation rules, and campground rules apply.
We may give you a link that takes you to a reservation provider. We may record that a booking link was clicked so we can operate and measure the service. A click does not tell us whether you completed a reservation. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle that information.
Plans and Pricing
We currently offer three plans.
Free, $0. One Campground Search, on one campground. Email alerts only, at standard speed. No card required.
Trip Pass, $19 one time. Intended for a single trip: one Campground Search, covering up to ten campgrounds. Monitoring runs until your check-in date for that trip. Text and email alerts where you have enabled them. Cart Watch and Release Radar where the reservation system supports them. You may pick those campgrounds from a park, a collection, or an area you draw on the map. Our fastest alert lane.
Member, $12 per month or $79 per year. A recurring subscription. Ten Campground Searches at a time, each covering up to ten campgrounds, everything included in Trip Pass, and the option to pause. Monthly or annual billing, chosen at purchase.
Feature availability always depends on what the reservation system exposes, as described above.
Member Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal
Member is a recurring subscription. When you purchase it, you authorize us, through our payment processor, to charge the plan price on a recurring basis until you cancel.
A monthly membership renews every month. An annual membership renews every year. We show you the recurring price and the billing period before you buy.
You can cancel at any time through your account billing settings. Canceling stops the next renewal. It does not normally create a prorated refund for the period you have already paid for.
If we change the price of a plan, the change applies to future renewals only, and we will give you notice before the new price applies, as required by applicable law.
Cancellation and Pause
You can cancel a Member subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, unless the law requires otherwise.
Pause is a separate, optional feature for members who camp seasonally. Pausing is not the same as canceling and is not required in order to cancel. If you want to stop your membership, cancel it.
Trip Pass
A Trip Pass is a one-time purchase for one trip. Monitoring runs until the check-in date you set for that trip, and then it ends. It does not renew, and there is nothing to cancel.
Refunds
Member. Member payments are generally nonrefundable once a billing period has begun. Canceling stops future renewal, and your access continues through the paid period. We do not normally provide a prorated refund for part of a month or part of a year. We will make exceptions where the law requires one, and we will fix billing errors and consider refunds for a material service failure that is our fault.
Trip Pass. A Trip Pass is generally nonrefundable once monitoring for that trip has started. We will consider a refund for a duplicate charge, a billing error, a material technical failure that is our fault, or where the law requires one.
Not getting a campsite is not by itself a reason for a refund. What you are paying for is monitoring and alerts. We do not sell campsites, we do not control the reservation system, and we cannot promise that a site will be there when you go to book it.
Free. There is no payment, so there is nothing to refund.
If you think something went wrong with a charge, write to hello@lastminutecampsite.com and we will look at it.
Payments
Stripe processes payments for us. DeepAnchor Studio, LLC is the merchant of record. We do not store complete payment card numbers.
Choosing a paid plan is not the same as paying for it. Access to a paid plan begins only after the payment is confirmed. If a payment fails or is canceled, the paid plan does not start.
You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file for a recurring subscription. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it, and we may suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
Text Messages, Email, and Browser Notifications
Text messages
Text alerts are optional. They require your separate express consent, which you give by checking the text alert box in the product. Agreeing to these Terms does not give consent to receive text messages, and buying any plan never requires you to agree to text messages.
We may need to verify your mobile number with a one-time code before text alerts begin. Message frequency varies based on the Campground Searches you set and what we find. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving text messages, and HELP for help.
Turning off text messages does not cancel your account or your paid subscription. If you turn text alerts off, your verified number may stay associated with your account so you can turn them back on later. We use text messages for the campsite alerts you asked for.
We use email to send the alerts you requested and to send account, billing, and service messages. You can unsubscribe from our marketing email at any time; we may still send you service messages related to your account and your Campground Searches.
Browser notifications
Browser notifications are optional and available where your browser supports them. You control that permission in your browser or device settings.
Notification delivery depends on things we do not control, including email providers, mobile carriers, operating systems, browsers, networks, and your own device settings. We cannot promise that every notification arrives.
Acceptable Use
Use the service for your own camping. Please do not:
- Interfere with the service or disrupt it for other people
- Try to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access
- Reverse engineer or attack protected parts of the service, except where the law expressly allows it
- Use automated methods to abuse the service or overload it
- Use the service to break the law
- Use someone else's account without their permission
- Resell or commercially exploit access to the service without our permission
- Try to get around plan limits or usage limits
Normal personal use of the service, including setting up Campground Searches for your family and friends' trips, is fine.
Intellectual Property
The Last Minute Campsite website, software, branding, original text, design, and product features belong to DeepAnchor Studio, LLC or our licensors. While your account is active and you are following these Terms, you have a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service.
We do not claim ownership of campground names, government data, reservation providers' trademarks, information we do not own, or anything you write or provide. What you provide stays yours.
Changes to the Service
We will keep working on this, which means features will change. We may add or improve features, change how monitoring works technically, add or lose coverage of a reservation provider, retire a feature, or change our plans going forward.
If we make a material change that significantly reduces something you have already paid for, we will give you reasonable notice and provide an appropriate remedy where required by law, which may include a refund for the unused paid period.
Prices may change going forward. If you are an existing member, we will give you notice of a price change before it applies to a future renewal, as required by applicable law. A price change never rewrites a charge that has already been completed.
Suspension and Termination
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time.
We may restrict, suspend, or close an account for fraud, abuse, a material violation of these Terms, unlawful use, a threat to the security or operation of the service, or nonpayment for a paid plan. For ordinary problems we will try to tell you what the issue is and give you a chance to fix it first. For serious problems such as fraud or a security threat, we may act immediately.
If we close a paid account for one of the reasons above, we are not obligated to refund it. If we discontinue your paid service for our own reasons, and not because you broke these Terms, you may be entitled to a refund for the unused part of what you paid, and nothing here removes any remedy the law gives you.
Disclaimers
We provide this service on a best-effort basis.
We do not guarantee campsite availability, that you will get a reservation, that the service will be uninterrupted, that monitoring will be perfectly accurate, that we will catch every cancellation, scheduled release, or expired cart hold, or that every notification will be delivered.
Information we show comes in part from third-party reservation systems, and it can be delayed, incomplete, or changed by the provider without notice.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes anything that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including any rights you have under consumer protection law.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities. That includes a campsite you did not get, an alert that arrived late or not at all, a site that was taken before you finished booking, anything done or not done by a reservation provider, and failures of networks, carriers, browsers, or devices.
These limits do not apply to anything that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to cover us for claims, losses, and reasonable costs that arise from your misuse of the service, your violation of law, your violation of these Terms, or material you provide that infringes someone else's rights.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at /privacy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Please read it. It is part of how this service works, and these Terms do not repeat it.
Governing Law
DeepAnchor Studio, LLC is a California company, and these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice where appropriate or required.
Changes apply going forward. They do not retroactively change a transaction you have already completed, except where the law permits it.
